Built your site with Softr? Here's exactly how to point a custom domain at it — DNS, apex vs www, and SSL — plus what Domain Agent will soon do for you.
To connect a custom domain to Softr, go to your app's Settings → Custom Domain and enter your domain. At your registrar add an A record on the root (@) pointing to Softr's IP 35.158.87.123, and a www CNAME pointing to your custom domain. Softr provisions SSL automatically and shows 'Connected' once DNS resolves.
Softr publishes a fixed root A record — @ → 35.158.87.123 — plus a www CNAME pointing to your own custom domain (not to a *.softr.app address). If your registrar doesn't allow @ in an A record, leave the host empty.
SSL is issued automatically once records resolve and the app is published. There's no TXT verification. Softr includes 1 custom domain on all plans (extras are a paid add-on). On Cloudflare, use DNS-only records, not Proxied.
| Type | Host | Value | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | @ (root) | 35.158.87.123 | Fixed published Softr IP. If @ isn't allowed, leave the host empty. |
| CNAME | www | yourdomain.com | Point www to your custom domain — NOT to {app}.softr.app. |
Values verified from Softr's official docs, as of July 2026. Providers can change these — confirm against Softr's current dashboard.
