Built your site with Durable? Here's exactly how to point a custom domain at it — DNS, apex vs www, and SSL — plus what Domain Agent will soon do for you.
Durable lets you connect an existing domain (included with every subscription). At your registrar add one A record on the root (@) pointing to the IP Durable shows, plus a www CNAME pointing to websites.mydurable.com. Durable runs on Cloudflare and provisions SSL automatically — full propagation can take 24–48 hours.
Durable uses one A record on the root (@) and a www CNAME → websites.mydurable.com (older sites may still use websites.durable.co, which remains valid). Durable is hosted on Cloudflare, so the root A record points to a Cloudflare IP shown in your dashboard (currently 162.159.140.42 or 172.66.0.42) — add only one, and use the exact value Durable shows since these infra IPs can change.
SSL is automatic (Cloudflare-generated). There's no TXT verification, and custom domains are free with every Durable subscription.
| Type | Host | Value | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | @ (root) | Shown in your Durable dashboard (a Cloudflare IP) | Add ONLY ONE A record — use the exact IP Durable shows (e.g. 162.159.140.42); it can change. |
| CNAME | www | websites.mydurable.com | Must match exactly. Older websites.durable.co still works but use mydurable.com for new sites. |
Values verified from Durable's official docs, as of July 2026. Providers can change these — confirm against Durable's current dashboard.
